Today in this town a man is being executed.

He robbed a man in the streets and shot him dead. He came away with $8. 10 or 15 years later and today the Lone Star state is taking his life.

We asked a lady on the front desk of our motel what she thought of the death penalty.

“An eye for an eye, if you gonna act like a dawg, you get put down like a dawg”

I don’t know if everyone in this town has the same opinion, I imagine maybe they do. I kinda get that feeling. It’s a little chilling really. But to them it’s normal life.

It will be interesting to see what unfolds today.
